I might audition for LND when casting calls are announced.

It’ll probably all be equity calls for principle parts and then open calls for ensemble. But hell, I’ma go audition anyway, for the tour or the london production. It’ll be in 2014. Depending on whether My Land’s Shore succeeds in making it to the West End, I could well be an equity member by then once MLS has completed its run. We shall seee…..

Pretty sure Brad Little’s current Phantom mask on the World Tour is one of my favourite ever versions of the mask.

Others being Michael Crawford’s West End/Broadway original, Colm Wilkinson’s Toronto original and Ramin Karimloo’s West End, circa 2008/09. Also there’s a Stockholm one that looks amazing but I don’t know who’s it is or when it’s from.

Rebecca Caine and Earl Carpenter, with Rohan Tickell | A Heart Full of Love | Three Phantoms at the Chichester Festival Theatre on Friday, 10 February 2012

Imagine receiving a text at 07:00 on Friday morning (with the concert only a mere 12 hours away), from 1/3 of the principle cast, Matthew Cammelle, saying ‘Earl, can you call me? I’ve lost my voice.’” (x)

Earl had not one, but TWO Phantoms fill in Matt’s stead: Glyn Kerslake and Simon Bowman. Also, because “A Heart Full of Love” was meant to be Matt’s duet with Rebecca, Earl ended up being a standby Marius.

I saw Rohan Tickell in Rock of Ages the other day, in the West End. He was very good, a terrific tenor. :)

ME WEARING THE PHANTOM’S MASK

West End Replica (the ‘Karimloo’ version)

I don’t have wires to wear it with yet :(

LOOK WHAT ARRIVED IN THE POST!

My lovely replicas of the West End and Broadway versions of the Phantoms mask. These are exact copies, made of the exact materials and painted exactly the same.

The West End mask you may recognise as having been made famous by Ramin Karimloo. Pretty sure that particular incarnation was first designed for him. The slightly creepier looking Broadway version is distinctively worn by Hugh Panaro.

I would have had the wires put on them for wearing but sadly I didn’t have a tape measure to send the dimensions of my head to the people I bought them from (hence why there are no pictures of me wearing them). I might try to wear them and take pics if you ask nicely! :D

Which is your favourite?

Are you super duper Jelly? CAUSE YOU SHOULD BE!!!

Rock of Ages

Incredibly entertaining and hilarious from start to finish. Scantily clad dancing girls, (who have what must be the best asses in the West End) phenomenal vocals from ALL cast members (seriously, how they sing like that 8 shows a week is beyond me).

It was a Matinee show but they all gave it 100 percent. Brilliant, funny characters and clever use of songs and in some parts it was just downright silly :P I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t think of much that was wrong with it.

My favourite characters were the crazy rock star Stacy, and of course, the Narrator, who has one of the most fun parts in all the land. The breaking of the fourth wall halfway through act 2 was fantastic and side-splittingly funny!

Great show! Go see it!

Sorry for my absence!

I went to see Muse last night, in Manchester, with my Girlfriend and my little brother.

This was the first time either of them had seen Muse (was my brother’s first ever concert) and the 5th time I had seen them, and they were better than ever! Best band in the world, in my opinion! :D

Off to see Rock of Ages on the West End tomorrow.
